Welcome back!
New year, new goals, new movies — there’s a lot to look forward to! I’m coming in with ambitious (but achievable) goals for movie club, and I’m excited for another year of movie watching/discussing with you all.
Now that the year is (somehow) over, it’s the time I most dread: compiling my “best of” list. How do you rank among the greats and the average films?? It’s always a struggle until I remind myself… it doesn’t really matter!! How freeing. Hoping to have it done before February’s newsletter, but in the meantime, if you’re more proactive than me and want to share, I’d love to see yours!
I’m not one for new year resolutions (constantly improving, ya know?), but here are some vague goals for the year ahead:
Read and watch more classics
Go on another solo trip
Sell out the 2nd annual Academy Awards Watch Party banger
Get a (new) job [if any of your companies are hiring for content marketers/writers/copywriters … please please reach out!]
Continue to grow movie club and meet all of you!
The season for gratitude is still alive and well, so once again, THANK YOU to everyone for being here. What a cool community. Can’t wait to watch and discuss movies (good, great, and bad) with you this year.
Hope you all had a fantastic holiday season, and I’ll see you at the movies next week!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
